Committees and Community Involvement
· Co-founder of ‘The V2A Project’, a fundraiser for Penticton’s homeless and less fortunate. Since 2016, our family has been creating little decorative houses out of recycled materials and clay, selling them for a minimum $5 donation. In 2021, a Garden Project was added, making recyclable clay garden markers at a minimum $2 donation as a way to encourage gardeners to donate their excess produce and fruit to the local Food Bank. As of December 2021, all proceeds donated to Penticton’s Salvation Army have totaled more than $20,600.00
· President of the Penticton Secondary Schools Scholarship and Bursary Foundation
· Appointed to the City of Penticton’s Heritage and Museum Advisory Committee
· Initiated the first Neighbourhood Little Lending Library on public land
· Penticton Potters’ Guild member
· Annual volunteer for the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign
· Volunteer at Penticton’s Soup Kitchen and food hamper delivery for The St. Vincent DePaul Society
